Hard tag recirculation is a source tagging program built around reusable EAS hard tags. The tags are applied to apparel at the point of manufacture, so merchandise arrives at the store already protected and ready for the sales floor.
When an item is sold, store staff remove the hard tag at the point of sale with a detacher. Used tags are collected in store, consolidated at the retailer’s warehouse and shipped back to TrustTag, then sent on to apparel manufacturers to be applied to new merchandise. This closed loop lets the same tags be reused many times.
